Ministry yet to finalise National Artificial Intelligence Policy

The draft has been available on the Ministry's website since June 2023, indicating a commitment to transparency and stakeholder engagement.

The proposed policy aims to establish a regulatory framework for AI in Pakistan, focusing on five main pillars. It seeks to balance innovation with risk management, ensuring that AI technologies benefit society while addressing potential challenges. The establishment of an AI Regulatory Directorate and a Center of Excellence in AI are key components of this framework.
