The Kulai Fast Lane initiative, implemented by the Kulai Municipal Council (MPKu), has been recognized for its effectiveness in improving service delivery through the use of artificial intelligence. Chief Secretary to the Government, Datuk Seri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar, emphasized the need for other local authorities to adopt similar innovations to enhance their operational efficiency. The program has notably increased investment in Kulai by 171%, amounting to RM45 billion, and has created 7,000 skilled job opportunities.
Shamsul Azri highlighted that the Kulai Fast Lane not only accelerates the approval process for construction permits but also instills confidence in investors through its transparency and efficiency. He expressed his admiration for MPKu's achievements and urged other local councils to learn from this model to improve their services. The initiative is seen as crucial for Malaysia to regain its competitive edge in the region, especially as the country has recently dropped in global competitiveness rankings.
