During his speech at the International Conference on Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Computing, Engineering and Education Science (InvENT 2024), Anwar warned of the potential risks associated with AI, such as deep fake technology, which can undermine trust in digital information. He stressed the need for comprehensive policies and laws to govern AI effectively and protect human values and data privacy. Furthermore, Malaysia is actively participating in regional digital economy initiatives, including the Digital Economy Framework Agreement (DEFA) and the Cyber Security Bill 2024.
