Samsung Looking For 10% Flip & Fold Growth Despite Strikes At AI Chip Plant

Samsung is optimistic about a 10% increase in sales from their latest foldable phones, even with competition from Motorola's new Razr %0 Ultra and strikes affecting their AI chip production. The company is banking on new AI capabilities to drive sales and retain market share. Retailers are focusing on the premium smartphone segment to compensate for lost 3G replacement business.

Samsung's Mobile Division President TM Roh expects a sales boost for the new Galaxy Fold and Flip 6 models due to user-friendly features, improved cameras, battery life, chipset, and AI integration. Despite a recent decline in smartphone sales, IDC predicts growth in the foldable phone market, with Samsung aiming to regain its leading position. The strikes at Samsung's AI memory chip plant could impact smartphone production, as the company's largest union calls for better pay.
