Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has directed transport authorities to identify and penalize vehicles emitting excessive smoke using the Punjab Safe City Cameras. The AI-powered cameras can detect smoke emissions from various types of vehicles, including trucks, buses, cars, motorcycles, and auto-rickshaws. The Lahore Traffic Police have already issued fines to numerous vehicles found to be emitting high levels of smoke, supported by photographic and video evidence for transparency and accountability.
