The Irish Platform for Patients' Organisations, Science & Industry (IPPOSI) is forming a 'Citizens' Jury' to gather public opinions on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare. This initiative aims to provide recommendations to the government by the end of the year.

However, concerns about accountability, transparency, and patient safety arise with the increasing reliance on AI technology. The Citizens' Jury will engage in a ten-week process, hearing from experts and deliberating on the benefits and challenges of AI in healthcare to shape future health policies.
