The event aimed to showcase the potential of AI in revolutionizing teaching, learning, research, and work at the university. Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor Mary Clark and Lili Cheng from Microsoft AI highlighted the benefits of AI in education.
Attendees engaged in discussions led by Stephen Hutt on the current state of AI, its possibilities, and concerns. Industry sponsors like Oracle, Microsoft, and Adobe presented a range of AI tools and applications for the community to explore. The event also featured Ryan the Social Robot, developed by professor Mohammed Mahoor, which interacted with attendees.
