Companies developing artificial intelligence (AI) to improve safety on construction sites, reduce time spent repairing the railways, and cut emissions are set to receive a share of £32 million in UK Government funding. Nearly 100 groundbreaking projects involving over 200 businesses and research organizations across various sectors have been awarded financial backing.

Minister for Digital Government and AI, Feryal Clark, emphasized the transformative impact of AI on the UK economy and public services. The funding aims to support solutions in 'high growth' industries, driving productivity and efficiency through AI innovation. Dr. Kedar Pandya highlighted the role of these projects in driving economic growth and innovation in key industry sectors across the UK.
