Vayu Robotics debuts the world's fi rst on-road Delivery Robot powered by AI Robotics foundation models

Vayu Robotics has introduced the world's first on-road Delivery Robot that utilizes AI Robotics foundation models. The robot is designed to revolutionize e-commerce deliveries by combining modern AI technology with low-cost passive sensors, eliminating the need for expensive lidar sensors.

Traditional mobile robotics often rely on costly hardware and software, but Vayu's innovative approach uses transformer-based mobility models and powerful passive sensors to operate autonomously without pre-mapping roads. The company, co-founded by industry veterans Anand Gopalan, Mahesh Krishnamurthi, and Nitish Srivastava, aims to address the challenges that have hindered the growth of delivery robots.
