The Telangana education department has introduced an AI-based tool to enhance language and math skills in government primary schools. This initiative, known as the Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) programme, is now available in 383 schools across 27 districts. The program aims to provide personalized digital assistance to students in classes 3, 4, and 5, following a successful pilot project.
The FLN-AI programme, developed in collaboration with the EkStep Foundation, offers adaptive learning experiences tailored to individual student needs. It includes components for language learning in Telugu and English, as well as mathematics. The initiative emphasizes the importance of personalized learning, with sessions scheduled four times a week to support students struggling with foundational skills.
