The South Dakota Study Committee on Artificial Intelligence and Regulation of Internet Access by Minors is set to convene its second meeting of the 2024 Interim on August 14. The committee, co-chaired by Sen. Steve Kolbeck and Rep. Mike Weisgram, will focus on the impact of Internet access on youth mental health and Artificial Intelligence in higher education.
Key speakers at the meeting include representatives from the National Institutes of Health, the Center for the Prevention of Child Maltreatment, U.S. Sen. Mike Rounds, and Attorney General Marty Jackley. The meeting will be held both in-person and via electronic conference at the State Capitol in Pierre.
