Russian scientists create self-adapting AI

Russian scientists have developed a new artificial intelligence model that can learn new actions independently. The model, named 'Headless-AD,' is capable of self-adaptation to new tasks and contexts without human intervention. This innovation overcomes limitations in contextual machine learning.

The team from T-Bank AI Research Lab and the Moscow-based Artificial Intelligence Research Institute modified the Algorithm Distillation method to create the Headless-AD model. This model can perform five times more actions than initially taught and has broad applications from space technologies to smart home assistants. The Russian AI could potentially pass the 'coffee test' proposed by Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak.
