The Mark Cuban Foundation, in collaboration with Perficient, is introducing a unique artificial intelligence (AI) camp for high school students in Fargo, free of charge. This camp offers a tailored curriculum focused on educating students about the latest advancements in AI and Generative AI. The goal is to equip students with the necessary tools to leverage these technologies effectively, inspiring and preparing the next generation of AI professionals. The camp is designed for students in grades 9-12 with an interest in technology, regardless of their prior experience in computer science or programming.
Throughout the three half-day sessions, students will delve into various aspects of AI, including its applications in daily life, ethical considerations, and hands-on experience with tools like ChatGPT and Microsoft's cloud computing services to develop their own AI applications. Mark Cuban emphasized the importance of providing young individuals with knowledge about AI, especially as technology continues to evolve rapidly. The partnership with Perficient ensures that the bootcamp offers a gateway for students to explore the exciting field of AI, irrespective of their background or financial means. This initiative aims to bridge the gap in AI education and empower the youth to become future technology leaders.
