Lenovo is developing two new AI-driven Chromebook tablets, codenamed Ciri, as reported by Chrome Unboxed. These devices are expected to be unveiled soon and will include the Lenovo Chromebook Duet, a successor to the IdeaPad Duet 5. The new model features a detachable 11-inch display and will utilize the MediaTek Kompanio 838 SoC, which includes a dedicated AI processor.
The MediaTek chipset is designed to enhance multimedia capabilities and support interactive applications, promising impressive performance metrics. Additionally, an EDU model aimed at schools is also in the works, likely featuring similar hardware but with increased durability. However, the Chromebook Duet will not be part of the Chromebook Plus series, which may limit access to certain exclusive features.
