Inside Paris' 'patchwork of steel' Olympics security op with AI surveillance, 45,000 cops & drones amid ISIS threat

Paris is gearing up to host the highly secured Paris 2024 Olympics with a massive security operation involving over 60,000 cops and soldiers, drones, helicopters, and increased AI surveillance. The city is deploying a robust defense system to ensure the safety of the 15 million visitors and 10,500 Olympic Games competitors. The security measures are unprecedented, with over 43 countries collaborating to make it three times larger than the security operations at London 2012.

The security operation in Paris involves over 45,000 police officers and up to 18,000 soldiers, making it France's largest deployment of troops since World War Two. The 'patchwork of steel' security strategy spreads security measures across the city, unlike the centralized approach of London 2012. Alongside the massive security teams, aerial units including Rafale fighter jets, AWACS surveillance flights, and Reaper surveillance drones will patrol the Paris skies during the event.
