India among top 5 countries in critical tech, 3rd in AI globally: ASPI

India has emerged as a significant player in critical technologies, ranking in the top 5 for 45 out of 64 categories, including AI, biotechnology, and defense tech. The country has notably displaced the U.S. in biological manufacturing and distributed ledgers, and it ranks third globally in AI, following China and the U.S. This progress highlights India's growing influence in global research and technology development.
