Full Article

The Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) and Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT) are collaborating to establish a Centre of Entrepreneurship (COE) on Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Nagpur. STPI, under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEIT), has submitted a detailed project report for approval to set up the COE. The initiative aims to support start-ups in the AI sector and boost IT growth in tier-2 cities like Nagpur.

STPI already has a presence in Nagpur for IT units and plans to expand with the new COE project. The COE will provide support and infrastructure to sector-specific entrepreneurs, moving beyond just offering building facilities. The project is currently at the approval stage and is expected to progress further after securing necessary permissions.
