The Israeli military conducted the first AI-aided war in Gaza in 2021, resulting in casualties, and has continued to deploy AI-operated weapons systems in the region. The extensive use of AI in targeting and killing Palestinians has raised ethical concerns and sparked debates on the implications of weaponized AI technology.
