Elon Musk's Mad Dash To Build A Power-Hungry AI Supercomputer

Elon Musk made a quick decision to build a power-hungry AI supercomputer for his startup, xAI, in Memphis. The project, known as 'Project Colossus,' involves a multibillion-dollar investment and was officially announced recently. However, there are concerns from the Memphis City Council regarding the secretive nature of the deal and the data center's high electricity and water requirements.

On the other hand, Vietnamese billionaire's VinFast has delayed the construction of its U.S. electric vehicle factory by three years due to economic headwinds. The company plans to invest $1.4 billion in the first phase of the U.S. facility and also has plans to build factories in India and Indonesia. Additionally, Graphyte, led by CEO Barclay Rogers, is focusing on biomass-based solutions for carbon removal, with a project in Arkansas aiming to remove 15,000 tons of CO2 per year.
