Education and Tech Companies Make Commitment to Responsible AI Development

A new industry effort is encouraging education and technology companies to commit to using AI responsibly and advocate for its effective use in schools. The EdSAFE AI Alliance has launched an industry council with over 50 founding member companies agreeing to ensure safe, accountable, fair, and effective AI development.

The organization's framework, developed with the help of education associations and policy groups, aims to work towards AI technologies that are safe, accessible, and meaningful for students and teachers. Companies like Carnegie Learning, McGraw Hill, Google, and Kyron Learning have already committed to the council, aligning their policies and practices with the SAFE Framework.
