Bulgarian students have excelled in Science Olympiads, winning 58 medals, leading up to the inaugural Artificial Intelligence Olympiad. Minister of Education and Science, Galin Tsokov, announced this achievement and highlighted the country's hosting of international competitions. The AI Olympiad, organized in collaboration with the Municipality of Burgas, will welcome 200 students worldwide.
Minister Tsokov revealed that 44 teams, including two from Bulgaria, have confirmed their participation in the upcoming AI Olympiad. Elena Marinova, one of the event's creators, shared that the competition will feature both theoretical and practical rounds focusing on AI advancements. The event, scheduled from August 10 to 14, has garnered support from major universities and tech companies globally.
