To commemorate Amazon Fire TV's 10th anniversary, Amazon announced this new AI-powered voice search functionality on Thursday. Like a friend, Alexa will make recommendations, making it easy for the users to find what they want to watch.
The recently launched AI-powered search feature, trained on data from services like IMDb, is reportedly capable of finding content based on topics, genres, plot points, actors, and quotes. The AI upgrade aims to enable users to consult with Alexa in a manner similar to asking a friend who is an expert in movies and TV series. Viewing options will also not be limited to only Amazon Prime movies, as Alexa's personalized AI search results can direct users to titles on other streaming services.
