Increasing safety in the era of AI boom

The Vietnam Security Summit 2024 opened on May 30, attracting 1,000 participants including policymakers, business leaders, and experts. Discussions at the event covered topics such as data security, network information security risk management, mobile security, and solutions to ensure database security in the AI era. Leading network security solution providers like Opswat, Bshield, Viettel, Cloudflare, Sophos, and CMC participated in the summit.

Figures released at the summit revealed that the world lost an estimated $8 trillion from cyberattacks in 2023, with the number expected to rise to $9.5 trillion by 2024. Every 11 seconds, an organization globally falls victim to ransomware attacks. Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Pham Duc Long emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts among organizations, businesses, and government agencies to enhance information security in the AI technology era.
