Asana has become a byword for team collaboration and task management. Thanks to AI integration, it's now more powerful than ever: the productivity software can automate tasks, plan workflows and offer suggestions on what to prioritize.

Zoom's AI Companion is getting an "agentic" upgrade at the end of this month, allowing it to identify and perform tasks on users' behalf. Workspace users will be able to access the feature within a new Tasks tab in Workspace, where they can have Zoom's AI schedule follow-up meetings, generate documents from meetings, and create video clips.

Recording in both situations requires a two-second press to start the recording, and the small LED of the "A" in the Plaud logo glows red with a small vibration just to confirm. Once you've finished recording, another press and the red light extinguishes. Really, it's as easy as pushing the record button on a dictaphone.

In its announcement, Zoom described how Workflow Automation could be used to generate summaries after meetings, and have that summary added directly into a Zoom Doc, Google Doc or Word document, before automatically sharing that document in a Team Chat channel, all without the involvement or direction of a worker (beyond the initial setup).

Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust has begun a three month pilot, using AI in up to 5,000 consultations to generate notes and summary letters. The hope is that it will alleviate the administrative burden on clinicians at the service, which caters for children with developmental conditions.
