What strikes me more than how well they work is that they are really just about catching up with OpenAI's ChatGPT. And their belated appearance in March of the year 2025 doesn't seem like a great sign for Google. Read the full story.

You can get at Deep Research through the ChatGPT apps for web, desktop, and mobile devices. On the web, as long as you've selected an AI model that supports the feature from the drop-down list in the top left corner, you'll see a Deep research button in the main prompt box.

Recent data from Surfshark, a well-known VPN provider, uncovered that Google Gemini is the most data-intensive AI chatbot app. DeepSeek, however, comes in fifth out of the 10 most popular applications.

With Duck.ai, everything (even the slower models) is exponentially faster than what's on my desktop. If you're curious, I found myself defaulting to the Llama 3.3 model over Duck.ai's other options. I find it fast enough but delivers better, more accurate results.

AI Overviews are Google's function in Search that uses AI to automatically generate answers to queries with videos and citations, before the usual blue links. Now, it'll work on more types of queries and it won't require users to sign in for it to work.
